BAPE copies another style again but I LOVE it – STA EMBROIDERY SLIP OFF’s
So what do these look like to you? Yeah, you guessed it, Vans. I’m a huge fan of Vans’ slip-on’s because of their sheer convenience and simplistic style. I know that Vans isn’t the only company to make shoes like this (e.g. there are Keds, Levi’s, Zoo York, etc.), but they are the ones that make them the best—in my opinion—and they also have their own little Vans flare to them. So now let’s talk about super cool, trendy, exclusive, Japanese street fashion mogul, A Bathing Ape…
Nigo’s BAPE loves to ‘borrow’ shoe ideas from other sneaker companies and then make them their own. I’m an avid believer that this is somewhat wrong, but at times I just can’t help the fact that I LOVE some of BAPE’s designs. Here, they didn’t do anything more besides add in some of their famous BAPE-STA stitching (which is well embroidered, might I add) to the main body of the shoe and then called them “slip-off’s.” Clever, right? Sure. All I know is that I want them, but for $150 I might have to question my craving and stick to something more affordable like a $55 pair of Vans, no?
Have the money? Then go grab these from the BAPE STORE
