SOLD OUT: Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Salmon Toe”

While sitting in Microbiology this morning halfheartedly paying attention to different bacterial DNA promoter regions, I was also watching the countdown for these sneakers. Who knew that there were so many hype beasts online at 11 AM? Haha, I’m kidding, but I am partially annoyed that I wasn’t able to get these sneakers. The Ronnie Fieg ASICS Gel-Lyte III Salmon Toe’s sold out instantly this morning (11 AM EST) as they released at KithNYC.com.

I was kinda pissed off for the following reasons:

1. When the countdown finished, the website crashed, so my initial thought was obviously, “WTF?”
2. After refreshing the page for 15 minutes, I finally got access to the site and selected my shoe size just to find out they were already sold out
3. HOW DO 300 PAIRS OF SNEAKERS GET SOLD OUT IN LIKE 10 SECONDS?! HOW?!

Anyway, I’m over that stuff now, lol. I found the conversation about these releases over at NiceKicks VERY funny. A lot of the commentators there actually share my sentiments. Here are a couple of excerpts (I even joined the conversation a bit!):
