Kobe – "Bitch, you wasn't with me shooting in the gym!"

Bitch, you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym! You all know what’s going on with Kobe Bryant, right? He allegedly cheated on his wife with over 150 women and now she’s filing for divorce. Remind you of someone else? Think “Tiger Woods.” What’s up with super successful black male athletes cheating on their wives even when there are children involved?! I guess all that success can make you feel a bit untouchable sometimes. Whatever. I’m not judging, though, because it gives me something to blog about, lol.

Drake discussed Kobe’s issue briefly in Rick Ross’ song, “Stay Schemin,” when he says, “Kobe ’bout to lose a hundred fifty M’s / Kobe my nigga I hate it had to be him / Bitch, you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym”

That last line got a lot of attention because, well, that’s usually the argument when it comes down to women wanting half of their successful husband’s assets. The argument is basically: why does Kobe Bryant’s wife (Vanessa Bryant) deserve half of his money when she wasn’t there while he was practicing hard day-in-and-day-out? So it’s like, “bitch, you wasnt with me shooting in the gym!” … Another one of my favorite Drake lines from that song is, “Ordered her a filet told ‘em butterfly it she’ll love it / She used to soda and nuggets she really just out here thuggin!”

I think the final settlement was that Vanessa Bryant gets $75 million dollars and three of Kobe’s homes. Does Vanessa Bryant deserve half? What do you guys think?
