Yves Saint Laurent beat Vans to the punch with these Leopard Print Calf Hair Sneakers!
I’ve seriously been waiting for Vans to design something similar to what YSL did with these leopard print calf hair sneakers. Vans are the rulers of the canvas shoe and they usually know what’s going on with fashion, so it’s weird that–given the fashion world’s current love for animal print–Vans hasn’t produced a similar shoe.
You know what? Vans actually attempted this in past with the Bespoke Leopard Print Vans, but, if you can remember, they didn’t release the sneakers in men’s sizes. Anyway, Yves Saint Laurent filled that missing gap and brought us the leopard print calf hair sneaker. The build of the shoe is really dope–it looks like they just attached a loafer upper to a canvas sneaker sole. Something about that simplicity makes these leopard print sneakers that much more unique–well, that and the fact they’re made out of calf hair!

Hell yeah they are! There aren’t many other sneakers for sale these days that are like the Yves Saint Laurent leopard print calf hair sneakers. YSL introduced these in their Spring/Summer 2012 collection and they’ve been selling out fast. The only place that I found that still has the Yves Saint Laurent Leopard Print Calf Hair Sneakers for sale is Mr. Porter. In fact, they’re selling out as I type this!
