I love things that are aesthetically pleasing…I mean, who doesn’t? Anyway, I think that Asian culture has a knack for making things look really nice! A lot of smooth edges are used in Korean type while some Japanese art has a lot of sharp edges. Whatever it may be, it’s usually nice…so, somehow I came across TWTKR (or Twitter Korea) and saw my profile on there…weird, I know this.

Insight. Thought. Compassion. These are the three qualities that will triumphantly drive any person through the thicket that is life. It’s taken me 22 years 4 months and 12 days to realize this. Without insight, how could anyone see clearly? Without thought, how could one begin to conceive an idea? Without compassion, how could you understand your neighbor? These are the questions that have taken me all this time to formulate. These are my questions; they are your questions. These are the questions that many have asked or will ask themselves depending on when their time to grow up arrives.

My time came early this morning, hence this 7 A.M. post (eastern time). What exactly does this all mean? I have no idea… I mean I am after all only 22 years old, but I can rest assure because although I don’t know the exact meaning of this overnight revelation, I do know that it holds some type of meaning.

I’ve come to realize that I won’t understand everything that occurs in my life and perhaps it’s meant to be that way. I’ll understand what I can and appreciate what I can not. I will not dwell. I will continue to be myself and find a way to live for myself while living for others. Some people will feed you nonsense about how you should live only for yourself and not for others because it gets you farther. This is one of the biggest misconceptions of our modern world. Living for another is one of the important aspects of living, and having someone to live for makes life all the more fruitful!

I live for myself. I live for my family. I live for my friends. I live for my blog readers. I live for the world. I live because if I didn’t live, the world would be different in some way, shape, or form no matter how grand or minuscule.

I apply this concept to everything I’ve done and do in my life and I will not fall of this course. I hope you can all learn something from my rambling, lol, and follow my path or create your own. Just find something extrinsic to live for in addition to living for yourself and you’ll see that life is truly an amazing thing!

…and no, I’m not suicidal; I’m just an overly confident individual trying to understand the complexities of being humble.

I realized as of late that reading people’s tweets on Twitter can stir up a lot of different feelings in me. Usually after I read a really interesting tweet, I’ll RT (retweet it) for everyone else to see. On other occasions, however, I’ll do some GOOGLING to find out more information. In this case, it was the latter…

Well, you see that tweet from @twitqwotes (one of my favorite users) and it’s really thought provoking. Anyway, I thought to myself, “that’d be cool to tattoo on my arm, but what type of picture would go along with it?” So, I google image’d “delusional,” (funny, right? lol) and came across some interesting pictures.

One of them happened to belong to Contemporary Scottish Pop Artist, Tim Maclean:

I was really intrigued by the picture, especially since it sort of reminded me of KANYE’S TAKASHI MURAKAMI JESUS PIECE, so I’ve decided to share my likes with the rest of you! I mean… it is my blog, right? Yes, yes it is.

Hi. Here I am about to bring you some good news & bad news. I’ve always been a good-news-first kind of guy so that’s how I’ll present it right now. Can you guess the good news? Fine, I’ll tell you… I FINALLY GOT THE BLACK/CEMENT III’s!

Okay, you’re probably wondering one of two things:
1.) What the hell are the black/cement III’s?
2.) Why the hell do I care?

Well, all I can answer for you is the first question. The black/cement III’s are the best designed and patterened Air Jordan sneakers ever made! I won’t got into all the history behind them but they were released in the early 1990′s, again in the early 2000′s, and finally re-retroed in 2008/09. I’ve been an avid sneaker head for some time but with school and lack of a job, I haven’t bought a significant pair of sneakers in a while. I honestly don’t care too much for a lot of the sneakers that have been releasing lately either, so that’s a plus for me lol. Anyway, I have them and now I’m uber happy (I use the word ‘uber’ a lot now since becoming addicted to UberTwitter).

Now for the bad news… DUM DUM DUMMMMMM: I have a $320 fine to pay to the damn court for two tickets and two surcharges (late fees). These guys got me with $50 for no inspection, which is fine, but $100 for an “inadequate” exhaust? Come on. This is my first time ever getting an exhaust ticket & I’ve been driving since I was 16. At 16, I owned an Acura Integra with an RS-R ExMAG exhaust (cost my poor 16-year old self $500 of Modell’s earned money) and never got a ticket for it. Then I bought this Subaru Impreza 2.5RS at age 20 and put another $400 APEXI N1 exhaust on it and didn’t get any tickets. Now at 22 I get this ticket. Yuck. Moral of the story is that my exhaust is far from inadequate, but try explaining that as a young black male to an ambiguously agitated officer.

Anyway, I had to leave NY after I got the ticket due to Christmas break. I spoke to the people in the court and they told me everything was fine and dandy with mailing it in after the new year. Yeah, sure. I get a fine for $85 each ticket as a late penalty. I’m going to have to try to fight those late fees because $320 is absurd, and now I feel like an ass for spending what I did on those black/cement III’s. Life makes no sense, though, but that’s the fun part, huh?

PSA to all Town Courts across the nation: I hate you and your money grubbing ways; If you need $100, just ask

Well… as you may know, or not know, iPhone users have this innate hatred for Blackberrys while Blackberry users could care less what the iPhone users are doing. For the time being, lets put specs aside and take a subjective, non-factual look at things, shall we?

Here’s an iPhone user’s experience:

Obviously, the clear winner is the Blackberry user for various reasons:

1. If I want the qualities of a stone, I’ll go find one for free rather than paying $300+
2. This man injecting himself with Blackberry data is obviously normal
3. In conjunction with 2, all of us Blackberry users can feel this man’s pain!
4. Blackberries just taste better than apples.

I’ve been gone for a little… *Jay-Z voice* What do you want me to do, I’m sorry!

Yeah, I’ve been out and about, which means I’ve really been in the library studying lol. One thing that I’ve come to realize within this semi-separation from my blog is that news stops for NO ONE! And, with that being said, a lot of cool things that I’d post on a normal day have piled up.

So now for this week, I have A LOT of nicely designed lofts to show ya’ll, some crazy technology, and then some fashion, of course, to throw in the mix. Are you guys ready? I am. Lets get it!

Browsing my homegirl @DrReece ‘s facebook profile pictures, I came across this… It’s kinda old but still post worthy.

Real, or fake, this is terrible lol. If it’s fake, then haha, great joke! If it’s real, however, then Google needs to fix its autocomplete function to be a little more sensitive to stereotypes (like that’s possible, lol). Okay, putting the racism aside, it’s obvious that different ethnic groups have different and distinguishable features. If you agree with this statement then you’ll most likely agree that white girls, aside from Italians and some anomalies, don’t have big butts. In the past few years, though, I’ve been seeing this new trend of white girls having these voluptuous curves and indeed trying to compete with other ethnicites…

Has the general diet changed? Is it the hormones in whole milk? Butt implants? No… It’s obviously BOOTY POP! I’ve been able to watch TV consistently for the past 2 weeks because of Christmas break, and this is my first time seeing this Booty Pop ad. WTH IS THIS?! LMAO! The commercial itself is so outrageous that I couldn’t stop laughing.

Hold on, let me stop myself for a second. If you’re a female that wears Booty Pop, or any other brand of butt-pad panties, then stop reading because I’m about to go in on you!

First, watch this silly commercial for Booty Pop’s padded panties:

Now, let’s address three important, and equally funny, issues that I have with some of the statements and claims made in the commercial:

1. You want your jeans to show off your booty, and with Booty Pop, every pair of jeans look good. Umm… WHAT? LOL how can you show off something that doesn’t exist? Man, this makes me so mad. How can girls make fun of a dude for posing by a Ferrari or Porsche that isn’t his but then go home and put on some Booty Pops. SMH.

2. You can forget about doing endless squats or super expensive cosmetic surgery. Oh brother. If you were born with no butt, and you don’t want to exercise or eat a lot of burgers to get one, then deal with it. Every time there’s an easy way out, it usually ends in someone’s feelings getting hurt, and that’s exactly what would happen if I ever had to undress a chick wearing some Booty Pops. Really, WTH?

3. WHY DO THE PANTIES LOOK LIKE THE DRUM PADS NICK CANNON HAD IN DRUMLINE? lol… makes me want to play some Rock Band on these girls’ butts.

The moral of this post is… get a life!

While I was away, I was still checking up on TBG periodically, and here are some things I’ve noticed:

Website traffic has increased: This is great… I don’t know how, but it seems like I’ve started a little mini movement, and I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails lately with nothing but love, so thanks to you all!

Google Reader doesn’t stop for anyone: You know… having an ego like mine, you think that when you stop doing something, everyone stops doing it. Well, that’s obviously not true because I have like 4000+ unread posts in my Google Reader, so I think I’m going to have to head over there and click “mark all as read” lol.

Other small-time blogs like mine are gaining popularity: Umm… I’m no hater, so good for them haha.

I have a lot to do as far as adding some more features and signing on some bloggers to help with posting. I’ve received nice e-mails from different bloggers about things I should post as well. Damn… I forgot how much I loved this blog!

Anyway, I cut my mohawk off this past summer, so I felt that I needed to change the logo a bit (my waves are spinning, by the way) and I also added a little pumpkin to celebrate the festive feeling of Autumn although there’s nothing really festive about being cold as hell in Buffalo.

Well, that’s a great question! So for anyone who actually still reads my blog, I’ll break it down for you.

Remember all that talk about me being a smart guy and how I just graduated from Binghamton University this past May? Well, it wasn’t just talk! Lucky me, I didn’t get into medical school right off the bat, but I was referred to this awesome program by New York Medical College and SUNY Downstate Medical Center at SUNY Buffalo sponsored by AMSNY (it’s a lot of take in, I know… breathe, lol). Anyway, you can go to that link if you care, lol, but long story short I’m doing a year here at SUNY Buffalo (immunology, epidemiology, physiology, anatomy, nutrition, clinical biochemistry, etc.) basically, advanced sciences courses. When this year is all finished, I chose to have SUNY Downstate hold my seat for next year, so medical school here I come! SUNY Downstate class of 2014, and you know I had to pick downstate because it’s in Brooklyn!

So, where have I been? GETTING MY SHIT TOGETHER, and now im back! I love TRENDYblackguy, and I’m still one. Anyway, for the time being, here I am in Buffalo, GO…
