Kanye West did such a Good Ass Job on Drake’s ‘Find Your Love’

Since I’ve been listening to Wiz Khalifa for the past month or two, I inadvertently ignored Drake. Don’t get it twisted, though, I’m a huge Drake fan, but after the super buzz of ‘So Far Gone’ and ‘Heartbreak Drake III,’ I was looking for him to drop some really crazy new music prior to the beginning of the ‘Thank Me Later’ buzz and he kind of didn’t. During that period, I started listening to other artists religiously, e.g. Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, etc…

So, with all that being said, excuse me for being late with this song! I finally watched the video yesterday and I really liked it, I think Kanye’s production is seriously insane on the track. I also listened to Drake & Jay-Z’s ‘Light Up‘ and all I can say is that I’m suuuper impressed by the quality of music Drake is putting out.

I’m fuggin excited because it feels like music took a spring break and now that the summer is here, everything is falling right back into place. Let’s see where everything goes from here…

DOPE, Kanye is back! new single ‘Power’ x L.A. Home x Amber Rose x SoHo

One thing I love to make clear about my blog is that I don’t gossip and I don’t post celebrity news outside of artists that I actually like and admire. Okay, now lets talk about Kanye West! Kanye fuggin’ West! Kanye’s been my idol since I dunno how old, 15…16? Anyway, it’s no secret that he makes good music with record sales and hit singles/albums to prove it. However, in the past 4 years or so, a lot has happened to dude from losing his fiance to the death of his mother, but after a short hiatus, KANYE WEST HAS RETURNED…

First thing’s first, Kanye is selling his L.A. home (we’ve all seen it for the most part before) for $3,995,000. His house in L.A. really is dope, but I believe this is a good move for dude especially during a time of rebuilding, no? I dunno, lol, check out this fuggin’ house:

Next, dude has been gone for a while so these pictures of him in SoHo have been buzzing around the internet for some days. Yeah it’s cool that he’s back now but I’m more worried about that bag he’s carrying! Talk about dope! That’s definitely one of the bags from the Murakami x Louis Vuitton “Monogramouflage” Collection and it’s REAAALLY DOPE! I swear the next thing on my mind is getting a LV speedy 40!

Thirdly, and definitely the most important, Kanye just hit the internet hard with this new track, “Power,” which will be on the upcoming and suuuper anticipated album “Good Ass Job.” Have yourself a listen here:

phew…*wipes forehead* what did I forget? Oh yeah, Kanye and Amber Rose broke up. So what? Who cares? Not me…

WOW, and I thought all the buzz behind Kush x Orange Juice was over already! The new TRENDYBLACKGUY of 2010 HAS to be Wiz Khalifa! I’m sure as ever now that it’s definitely Wiz Khalifa’s time to shine. Although he’s been around for a while, he’s finally starting to get all the attention that he truly deserves. Dude’s flow is lighthearted yet impacting and that’s probably what most people (white & black) like about him…

Talk about someone who’s having fun doing what they’re doing! Khalifa definitely indulges in the life that we’d all love to live: weed, girls, music, and cars! That’s exactly what he talks about too, which is fuggin’ awesome! S/O to WSHH (World Star Hip Hop) for hosting the video that’s received 2.8 million views in less than 2 days; that’s nuts! In the words of Wiz, “I live life sucka free, that’s why the ni**as you be with talk down like they don’t f*ck with me!”

This video is freaking nuts! I guess since Pharrell, Chad, and Shae love music, this video is befitting. It’s basically a great beat that gets built given the fact that gravity makes things fall and the sound of things contacting the ground are unique in their own sense. This video is definitely taking boring old physics and showing us how even music (something joyous) can be found within the most mundane and mind numbing topics (physics).

Bow Wizzle’s back…DUDE FINALLY STEPS HIS GAME UP on “Roger That”

OKAY OKAY OKAY! Wait a second…BOW WIZZLE’S BACK! I swear…anyone who hangs around Lil’ Wayne for an extended period of time will eventually step their game up and start rapping to their true potential. You wanna talk about a struggle? Let’s talk about Bow Wow. Dude definitely controlled the airwaves back in the early 2000’s but how long can someone last when you only appeal to teeny boppers? Not long. Anyway, the struggle for him doesn’t include being broke–because he’s obviously not–but it is the struggle to be “nice” and relevant…

I’m not in the business, but I assume staying relevant is the hardest part of the entertainment industry especially when you’re making the transition from child to adult. Also, being taken serious as a rapper is probably the best feeling an artist can have. Bow Wow struggled with both of these issues and I see he’s finally settling into his groove. Hanging with Cash Money/Young Money was definitely a great look for him.

I’m usually indifferent about Bow Wow, but now I have to say…NICE!

DAVID GUETTA & KID CUDI IN ‘MEMORIES’ ARE FREAKING AWESOME

It’s no secret that I’m a big Kid Cudi fan, and I think it’s crazy that I haven’t found a song of his that I really don’t like. Recently, I’ve been playing David Guetta’s song, ‘Memories,’ feat. Cudi like EVERY morning, lol. It gets me amped for the mundane activities of the day to come…

Aside from satiating my need to feel ready for the day, the song itself really serves the purpose of dance club music. I think Kid Cudi is extremely smart in the way he promotes himself because most rapper don’t, and probably can’t, hop on a techno track like he can. This is what separates him from many popular rappers, which makes Kid Cudi the true definition of ALTERNATIVE rap. If you’re looking for a good cross-genre artist then you’ve found one of the best.

I’ve also been listening to Dan Black x Cudi’s ‘Symphonies’ remix, which has such an artistically daring video, in my opinion… hmm, maybe I should post that, too? YEAH, I THINK I WILL.

*side notes*
1.) I’m not feeling that whole outfit David Guetta is wearing from bubble vest to jeans, wth?
2.) I can’t wait for this ‘Cudder’ album to drop… Cudi sounded extremely excited about it on his blog, using words like ‘magnificent.’ You can CHECK OUT THAT POST HERE.

I swear I play this video at least once a day… it’s as if a day isn’t truly complete if I haven’t gotten my fix of Kid Cudi. Now, I know you’re thinking, “that’s a lot to say about one arist,” but in fact, it’s not. Kid Cudi is really a talented artist, and I’m realizing it more & more every day. If the only song you’ve heard by him is one of the “Day and Night” variations, then you don’t know what you’re missing. 85% of his music is REALLY good and that’s hard to accomplish these days in the music world, I believe.

Anyway, you all know that Kid Cud is a clown, and if you didn’t then now you do. He also recently got a part on HBO’s new television show “How to Make it in America,” which is great might I add. He’s entertaining musically and comically as well…

Ah, I see, so this is where the artwork for the cover of rebirth was taken from! I heard this song a month or so ago from my roommate and I liked it. It’s obviously a remake of Amy Holland’s 1983 Scarface soundtrack original, “She’s on Fire.”

Surprising that Lil Wayne chose a Scarface song to remake? Not really… Most rappers, and just all-around urban people, love the movie Scarface… I mean, it was a REALLY good movie, though.

Lil Wayne is a rockstar on this upcoming album, Rebirth! Too bad it leaked earlier this year, though.

Very modest outfit… looks like something that I would wear myself. The best male outfits, in my opinion, are the ones with subtle flare and detail. Anyone can wear a hoody and some jeans, but choosing the correct combination of a hoody and jeans is key.

In this case, Drake is wearing:

* Tortoise-framed glasses
* Red Wing boots that cost about $289
* A leather Hermes belt ($190 for the buckle) & ($380 for the leather belt itself)

Drake is a very open supporter of his love for Red Wing boots, lol, and the young man has good taste in fashion these days (lmao @ me saying young man like he’s not older than me):
