(N.E.R.D supporting the cause)

You should all know what H&M is, and if you don’t (you must have been living under a rock these past few years lol) but you can check out their website: www.hm.com. Anyway, they’ve teamed up with DAA (Designers Against Aids) and other celebrities (N.E.R.D is most notable to me) to help fight AIDS and make the youth more aware of it…

Other big names involved include: Dita Von Teese, Katy Perry, Róisín Murphy, Estelle, Cyndi Lauper, N.E.R.D, Robyn, Yoko Ono, Yelle, Moby, Katharine Hamnett, Dangerous Muse, and Tokio Hotel. All of these people contributed with respect to clothing designs.

What’s so good about this? Well, 25% of the sales price will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. And being from Nigeria, I know that HIV and AIDS are a huge problem. Hmm… now that I think about it… being from America, I know that HIV and AIDS are huge problem. Wait a second… being a pre-med student, I know that HIV and AIDS are a huge problem! Basically, I’m aware of the issue, but I don’t think everyone that could/should be is. This is an awesome idea to reach out to the youth’s ears: hit em where they listen–fashion.
