OMGOSH, this house is nuts!! I’m not even an in-the-woods kind of guy, but I love this house. Designed by Johnston Architects PLLC and built by Tall Tree Construction, it’s located in Washington in the foothills above Snoqualmie… In other words, I don’t know where the hell that is, lol. Anyway, it is indeed a job well done, and the two things that stand out to me are:
1. The logs used in the construction of the house were not chopped down but rather naturally blown down by regularly occurring storms.
2. The house is EXTREMELY BRIGHT on the inside, and the energy comes from a ground source heat pump, supplemented by solar water.
Beautiful architecture meets living green—Awesome!
