Hi. Here I am about to bring you some good news & bad news. I’ve always been a good-news-first kind of guy so that’s how I’ll present it right now. Can you guess the good news? Fine, I’ll tell you… I FINALLY GOT THE BLACK/CEMENT III’s!

Okay, you’re probably wondering one of two things:
1.) What the hell are the black/cement III’s?
2.) Why the hell do I care?

Well, all I can answer for you is the first question. The black/cement III’s are the best designed and patterened Air Jordan sneakers ever made! I won’t got into all the history behind them but they were released in the early 1990’s, again in the early 2000’s, and finally re-retroed in 2008/09. I’ve been an avid sneaker head for some time but with school and lack of a job, I haven’t bought a significant pair of sneakers in a while. I honestly don’t care too much for a lot of the sneakers that have been releasing lately either, so that’s a plus for me lol. Anyway, I have them and now I’m uber happy (I use the word ‘uber’ a lot now since becoming addicted to UberTwitter).

Now for the bad news… DUM DUM DUMMMMMM: I have a $320 fine to pay to the damn court for two tickets and two surcharges (late fees). These guys got me with $50 for no inspection, which is fine, but $100 for an “inadequate” exhaust? Come on. This is my first time ever getting an exhaust ticket & I’ve been driving since I was 16. At 16, I owned an Acura Integra with an RS-R ExMAG exhaust (cost my poor 16-year old self $500 of Modell’s earned money) and never got a ticket for it. Then I bought this Subaru Impreza 2.5RS at age 20 and put another $400 APEXI N1 exhaust on it and didn’t get any tickets. Now at 22 I get this ticket. Yuck. Moral of the story is that my exhaust is far from inadequate, but try explaining that as a young black male to an ambiguously agitated officer.

Anyway, I had to leave NY after I got the ticket due to Christmas break. I spoke to the people in the court and they told me everything was fine and dandy with mailing it in after the new year. Yeah, sure. I get a fine for $85 each ticket as a late penalty. I’m going to have to try to fight those late fees because $320 is absurd, and now I feel like an ass for spending what I did on those black/cement III’s. Life makes no sense, though, but that’s the fun part, huh?
